Live from New York, it’s Saturday Night Live’s 50th anniversary! With an iconic anniversary THIS BIG, the least we can do is throw a seven-month long party.
What better place to kick it all off than in Paris, at the 2024 Summer Olympics in July – where consumers will begin to feel the magic of the 50th season celebration. In September, SNL will premiere its 50th season with the absolute hottest hosts and musical guests. And benefiting from an Election year where SNL ratings are always boosted, next up will be a timely and hilarious Election Special in November, followed by several Specials around the holidays. And on top of all that… we’re also creating ton of 50th anniversary content that’s completely brand new: a documentary series, multi-part music specials, an SNL cocktail party and a comedy special at Radio City Music Hall.
All of that is before the actual anniversary episode airing February 2025, where we’ll roll out an SNL red carpet to welcome stars of past and present to 8H to take in the highly-anticipated SNL50 Primetime Special. We are going to put the full power of our entire portfolio behind this special celebration, and invite our partners along for the ride.
